Black Bean Con Queso Dip
This spicy cheese dip, loaded with Bush's® Black Beans, is perfect for entertaining. These recipes were created with our vegetarian friends in mind. Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter or margarine
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 2 cups milk
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 pkg (8 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 can (4.5 oz) chopped green chilies
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp ground red pepper
- 2 cans (15.8 oz) Bush's® Black Beans, rinsed and drained*
- Tortilla or corn chips
Cooking Instructions
- 1SAUTE
Melt butter in large soup pot over medium heat; add onion and saute 8 minutes.
- 2ADD
Add garlic and saute 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in flour until smooth; cook mixture, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add cheese, stirring constantly over low heat until cheese melts. Stir in black beans and remaining ingredients, gently stirring until mixture is thoroughly heated.

Serve warm with chips or crackers.
