Braised Beef and Bacon Chili
Warm up with this flavorful beef stew, slow-cooked with tomatoes, Bush's® Kidney Beans in Mild Chili Sauce, spices and bacon for a delicious, smoky flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 lbs trimmed beef cubes or brisket
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, sliced into wedges and separated
- 1 Tbsp jalapeño pepper, chopped
- 1 small green pepper, diced
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (16 oz) Bush's® Kidney Beans, drained
- 1 cup chicken stock
- ½ lime, juiced
Cooking Instructions
- 1HEAT
Heat oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2COOK
Add bacon and cook 2 minutes. Add beef and brown with garlic, onion, jalapeño and green pepper.
- 3COMBINE
Combine skillet mixture (with pan juices), seasonings and tomatoes in slow cooker.
- 4ADD
Top with beans, chicken stock and lime juice.
- 5COOK
Cover and cook 4 hours on low.
