Half-Smashed Refried Beans
Traditionally, refried beans are made with pinto beans. But our take is extra-flavorful, with Bush's® Chili Beans and Pinto Beans blended with salsa, lime zest, hot sauce and a hint of beer.

Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) Bush's® Chili Beans, undrained
- 1 can (16 oz) Bush's® Pinto Beans, drained
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup salsa, mild or spicy
- 3 oz Mexican or other beer
- ½ tsp grated lime zest
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- Tortilla chips
Cooking Instructions
- 1MASH
Add chili beans to a 4-quart saucepan and mash gently with a potato masher or the back of a fork.
- 2ADD
Stir in remaining ingredients except tortilla chips.
- 3COOK
Cook over low heat for 15 minutes or until mixture is heated through.
- 4SERVE
Serve with tortilla chips.
