Every year, hundreds of chili cooks compete nationwide to qualify for the International Chili Society’s season finale – the World Championship Chili Cook-off. This year, the contenders brought the heat to Homestyle. Tonya’s winning chili – Crazy Lady Chili – was crowned the supreme bean, among 100 other submissions. The best part? She uses Bush’s – and is here to spill the beans on her recipe!

MEET BUSH’S HOMESTYLE DIVISION CHILI CHAMPION: TONYA JESTER!
Tonya is no stranger to chili, having grown up on the classic comfort food in Indiana. She uses her travels as inspiration for her recipes and credits her family for her unrivaled success and support. In addition to her Homestyle Division win, Tonya was also awarded the Hat Trick – by winning 3 of the 4 chili categories. And let’s be real, she looks great in that blinged out Champion Chili Jacket.
It’s no small feat being awarded the coveted Champion Chili Jacket. Tonya faced off against hundreds of cooks, over 500 flavors, and dozens of demanding chili judges like Brian Baumgartner, the Spilly Chili Champ himself. Tonya brought the heat and came out on top.
